Chester is an attractive, historic City visited every year by thousands of tourists from all over the world.
Famous for its Roman walls and two-tiered shopping rows, the team works in the pedestrianised
shopping areas, in the Cathedral and on the ancient walls which encircle the City.
|
Team Leader, Dave Bennett, says...
"On Chester Tell-A-Tourist, you can have a go at witnessing to people from different nationalities
and cultures. You can even learn how to preach in the open air using a sketchboard.
It is one of the best opportunities in the North for open air evangelism. If you can give two
weeks to a team mission, you won't find anything more fulfilling
than Tell-a-Tourist in Chester."
You need no experience, only a willingness to learn and you'll be
surprised at what God will do!

WHAT IS TELL A TOURIST?
It is a team of people working together on the streets and in the Cathedral, to give tourists
some literature in their own language, ( usually a selection of scripture verses and a gospel ),
and to talk to them about the Christian faith.
There are about 50 languages available.
|
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15 |

DO PEOPLE GET EMBARRASSED WHEN

and are glad to stop for a chat.

WHY CHESTER?
